About the Role

GO2 Markets connects buyers and sellers of environmental products and provides advisory services for sustainability strategies. As a Business Development Intern, you will focus on originating buy-side efforts, engaging new and existing corporate and utility accounts through outreach and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain target lists of corporate and utility buyers, mapped by procurement profile, disclosure commitments, and likely product fit.
• Run first-touch outreach by email and LinkedIn, and own the follow-up cadence through to a booked meeting.
• Prepare pre-call briefs including sustainability commitments, Scope 2 and Scope 3 position, prior procurement activity, decision makers, and timing triggers.
• Monitor existing accounts for renewal windows, new load, and shifts in disclosure or compliance obligations.
• Produce market data, screening models, and client-facing materials for EACs, green gas, SAF, and carbon.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in energy, environmental policy, economics, finance, engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical fundamentals and genuine fluency in Excel, comfortable building a clean model from scratch.
• Fluency in English and concise written communication.
• Confidence with counterparties, including comfort with cold outreach and rejection.
• Self-starter attitude, organized, and curious about market clearing.
