About the Role

The Sanitation Specialist supports sanitation pre-operational inspections to ensure product quality aligns with company expectations and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the execution of sanitation programs to maintain plant cleanliness and adequate documentation.
  • Administers sanitation pre-operational inspections, ensuring equipment meets sanitary standards and is approved for production.
  • Documents sanitation activities, including inspection results, chemical monitoring, and cleaning completion.
  • Provides support to sanitation employees, ensuring they have appropriate tools and follow proper protocol.
  • Communicates effectively and makes sound decisions based on company sanitation standards.
  • Completes detailed inspections on equipment.
  • Supports cross-functional teams by ensuring identified deviations are addressed through sanitation processes.
  • Collects samples for equipment cleanliness verification testing.
  • Assures a safe and sanitary work environment.
  • Adheres to safety policies and procedures.
  • Produces products exceeding quality and value expectations by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies and Procedures outlined in the Safe Quality Food Program.
  • Performs other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or a high school diploma and 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing sanitation processes and related equipment.
  • Ability to provide support and communicate clearly.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot, and problem-solve routine issues.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Must be able to work without relocation.

Skills

  • Basic computer skills.
  • SAP experience.
