About the Role

This customer-facing role on the HPI Advanced Compute Solutions (ACS) sales team focuses on growing HP’s Z high-performance workstation Total Addressable Market (TAM) within the AI PC market. The individual will work with customers and partners to attract new customers and drive growth in HP’s high-performance compute solutions, analyzing market competition and gathering customer feedback. The role offers the opportunity to be a business leader, contributing to strategy, setting direction, and achieving success with AMD and HP platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with strategic customers and partners to understand their goals, strategies, and technical needs.
  • Define and deliver HPI and AMD solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Assist customers and partners through the qualification, sales, and delivery phases.
  • Partner with field sales teams to create and present customized solutions and proposals.
  • Act as a trusted advisor for acquisition customers and an AMD ambassador for the sales community.
  • Assist customers in building creative solutions based on AMD technologies.
  • Build documentation for internal and external dissemination, including guides, whitepapers, and training collateral.
  • Advise customers and partners through Proof of Concepts, presentations, and training.
  • Provide customer requirements to AMD and HP product teams to foster platform improvements.
  • Act as a segment leader with a vision for integrating HPI and AMD technologies into customer workloads.
  • Assist in creating TCO models to support pricing and leverage the AMD relationship.
  • Articulate the customer value and cost advantages of AMD-based platforms.
  • Attend industry events and seminars to stay updated on new techniques and technologies.

Requirements

  • Exceptional technical & business knowledge and familiarity with AI trends in the PC market.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with experience in PC client and AI hardware, software, and systems.
  • Ability to work independently within a core team.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills during customer engagements.
  • Collaborate closely with the HP extended sales team, including workstation and general sales, regional sales leadership, category teams, and alliance partners.
  • Understanding of PC systems microprocessors, specifically advanced micro devices is highly valued.
  • Strong positive can-do attitude, willing to do what is necessary and lead others by example.
  • Available to help colleagues.
  • Skilled in independently prioritizing opportunities to deliver results on time.
  • Inquiring mind and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills to articulate findings to product management, engineering, sales, and leadership.

  • Experience and understanding of personal computer microprocessors with an emphasis on AMD is highly valued.
  • Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) concepts and techniques, as well as practical experience applying these concepts.
  • Familiarity with large public procurements and co-design engagements.

  • Able to write technical documents and communicate at an appropriate level depending on the audience.

Salary/Compensations

  • $165,450 to $280,000 USD annually with a 60%/40% (salary/incentive) mix
  • Additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonuses and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only)
