About the Role
London Borough of Harrow seeks a Day Service Officer for the Kenmore Sensory Complex Needs hub to support individuals with learning disabilities and complex/sensory needs. The role involves meeting citizens' physical, behavioral, and emotional needs while respecting their rights and choices. Responsibilities include organizing community integration, ensuring health and safety compliance, and participating in risk assessments for activities, equipment, transport, and access. Responsibilities
- Meet citizens' physical, behavioral, and emotional needs.
- Respect individual rights and choices.
- Research and organize appropriate community integration.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety responsibilities.
- Participate in risk assessments for community activities, equipment, transport, and access/egress compliant with DDA.
Requirements
- Knowledge of current legislation.
- Understanding of safeguarding procedures.
- Experience working with challenging behavior and/or complex needs.
- Experience in moving and handling people.
- Physical ability to complete moving and handling duties.
