About the Role

The Adults and Public Health Directorate seeks a Senior Day Services Officer to join the local management team. This role involves stabilizing and influencing services, acting as a role model, and supporting staff teams to achieve their best. The position aims to empower individuals by facilitating access to day center and community opportunities, including employment, promoting independence, and ensuring safe personal care with respect for privacy, dignity, and anti-discriminatory practices.

Responsibilities

Support, encourage, and assist in leading Hub staff teams.
Enable individuals to access excellent day service centre-based and community opportunities.
Support and assist individuals in participating in safe personal care/hygiene needs.
Ensure services are delivered in an anti-discriminatory manner.

Requirements

Ability to move and handle people.
Knowledge of current relevant social care legislation.
Previous experience working in a Learning/Physical Disability setting.
Experience of working with challenging behaviour.
Experience of managing staff through significant change.
