About the Role

VJ X-Ray LLC is seeking a detail-driven, process-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to make an impact with our engineering change processes, product documentation, and manufacturing support activities. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, operations, and product lifecycle management, ensuring that product data is accurate, controlled, and communicated clearly and concisely across the organization. This position is ideal for someone who excels at documentation, cross-functional coordination, and keeping complex product information organized and flowing smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Engineering Change Notice (ECN) processes, including creation, review, and approval, ensuring accurate and on-schedule implementation across multiple sites.
  • Create, structure, and maintain Bills of Materials throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Validate accuracy and alignment with design specifications and customers’ needs.
  • Maintain part numbers, revision histories, and source information within the ERP system.
  • Develop, update, and maintain clear, visual, and accurate manufacturing work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and assembly guidelines in accordance with company standards.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, routing and work orders.
  • Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, quality, and production teams to resolve documentation issues and support smooth production operations.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline documentation, change processes, and product data workflows.
  • Ensure data accuracy and perform data analysis within our ERP system (Global Shop Solutions-GSS).

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (or closely related field).
  • A minimum of one (1) years’ experience in an advanced technology manufacturing environment supporting Production and Engineering initiatives.
  • Must be able to read and assess 2D & 3D CAD design specifications (SolidWorks preferred) and the ability to read and interpret detailed mechanical drawings.
  • Regularly required to sit, walk, bend, stoop and stand in a manufacturing environment.
  • Will need to repeatedly use hands & fingers to operate basic office equipment and operate hand and power tools standard to a production environment.
  • Expected to effectively communicate in person, on phone, and via email or other electronic devices on a continual and repetitive basis.
  • Vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to fulfill essential job function in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
  • On a regular basis, will be required to use written and oral communication skills.
  • Read and interpret data, information and documents.
