About the Role

The Field Technician provides essential services to contracted Departments by managing the installation, orientation, removal, and troubleshooting of monitoring equipment. This role involves accurate data entry, communication with agency personnel, and comprehensive inventory management of equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Install and remove various electronic monitoring equipment using directed safety precautions.
• Review information from law enforcement to verify participant identity and monitoring requirements.
• Input participant data into the database prior to equipment installation.
• Conduct participant program orientations, explaining rules, regulations, and device care.
• Maintain constant communication with Branch Manager and agency staff regarding installation requests.
• Review and interpret daily participant exception reports and investigate non-compliance.
• Clean, test, and track electronic monitoring devices, ensuring adequate inventory.
• Perform shipping and receiving functions for equipment and supplies, including placing orders.
• Prepare equipment for service and schedule returns.
• Administer required drug testing.
• Provide support for service and maintenance of equipment.
• Keep accurate records of service calls for installation, troubleshooting, or inspection.
• Travel to participant residences, jails, Courts, and Agency offices to recover equipment.
• Place telephone calls to participants and agency staff for equipment collection.
• Update the database to record outcomes of jail installs and equipment recovery attempts.
• Maintain a record of mileage for personal vehicles and log service call results.
• Serve as a liaison between Sentinel and other contracted agencies.

Requirements

• Must successfully pass criminal background investigation and drug screening.
• Must hold a valid Driver's License and automobile insurance.
