About the Role

Clearwater at The Arboretum is seeking a seasoned leader for an Executive Director opportunity. This role involves changing lives, collaborating with professionals to support seniors, building a dynamic team, and delivering results in a beautiful environment. We welcome candidates passionate about making a difference in a senior's journey to aging.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee, plan, develop, organize, implement, manage, control and direct all of the day-to-day functions and operations of the community.
  • Consult with department directors on development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Establish rapport among departments to promote teamwork and cooperation.
  • Identify and develop plans to correct problem areas and improve resident service.
  • Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Ensure residents receive proper services for their physical, mental, and emotional needs.
  • Conduct surveys and exit interviews to determine satisfaction and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales to promote and market the property to achieve full occupancy.
  • Oversee all operations, finances, and reporting.
  • Approve expenditures against budgets and maintain complete financial records.
  • Maintain required education units and understand all government regulations and industry trends.
  • Ensure the management team complies with policies and maintains continuing education/licensing.
  • Oversee proper physical property maintenance to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Closely manage workers’ compensation injuries, investigations, and safety complaints.
  • Recruit, hire, evaluate, motivate, monitor performance, schedule, and manage community staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, nursing, or human services, or a combination of education and experience supervising others in a senior living, healthcare, or hospitality environment.
  • Minimum eight to ten years of experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or a related industry.
  • Minimum five years of experience functioning in a leadership role at a senior living operation.
  • Current state/federal/local required certification or license to manage a community.
  • First Aid Certification required.
  • Background clearances as required by government regulations.
  • Must meet health requirements, including TB.

Experience Level

  • Minimum eight to ten years of experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or a related industry
  • Minimum five years of experience functioning in a leadership role at a senior living operation

Education Level

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, nursing, or human services
