About the Role

Chelsea Piers Field House is seeking a dedicated and skilled Weekend Pre-School Multi-Sports Instructor to run Little Athletes classes for ages 3–5 on weekends, executing the program's vision and culture. This role offers a consistent weekend schedule with opportunities for additional hours through parties and events.

Responsibilities

• Run two Little Athletes classes on weekends for ages 3–5.
• Assist with other sports classes, most prominently tennis and volleyball, as needed.
• Maintain the same standard of enthusiasm, patience, and structure across all classes.
• Work parties and events on weekends for additional hours.
• Deliver age-appropriate, multi-sport instruction.
• Maintain strong class management and build genuine connections with kids and families.
• Collaborate closely with fellow coaches to stay aligned on curriculum and coaching approach.
• Be a steady, comforting, and engaging presence for young children.
• Assist with administrative duties as needed or assigned.

Requirements

• Experience working with children ages 3–5 in a structured class, camp, school, or childcare setting.
• Willingness and ability to assist with other sports classes, most prominently tennis and volleyball.
• Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with parents and families.
• Strong customer connection skills.
• Patience, warmth, and comfort managing a classroom of young children.
• Willingness to implement, enhance, and maintain the program's core philosophies.
• Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and organization skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• CPR and SafeSport certification.
