About the Role

We are defining a new category of Audit-Ready AI for Finance. This role requires an owner who can help define the category through arguments, benchmarks, and market language. You will work directly with the founders on critical weekly priorities, which may include understanding user workflows, developing ROI models, or conducting industry research.

Responsibilities

• Learn how finance teams work by observing sales calls, implementations, and support interactions.
• Visit customers and observe end-to-end financial close processes.
• Analyze customer feedback to gain insights.
• Assess market size and competitor pricing.
• Interview finance professionals to develop strategic viewpoints.
• Contribute to board decks and internal decision-making memos.
• Prototype internal tools using AI.
• Conduct pricing analyses.
• Organize customer events.
• Launch research reports.
• Develop and maintain metrics dashboards.
• Generate original research.
• Create customer stories and founder content.
• Participate in conference talks.
• Build relationships within the accounting and finance industry.

Requirements

• Zero to two years of experience, or currently finishing a degree.
• Demonstrated experience in analytical and challenging work (e.g., consulting, banking, product, engineering, research, journalism, startup).
• Ability to write clearly and think critically.
• Proficiency in using AI tools like Claude for practical applications and automation.
• High level of curiosity and a drive to explore subjects in depth.
• Desire for early responsibility and ownership.
• Ability to become deeply engaged with subjects.
• Experience shipping tangible projects independently.
• Publicly published writing that has been read by others.
• Experience in a small startup environment (under 30 people).
• Quantitative background combined with strong writing skills.
• Experience managing projects end-to-end without direct supervision.
• Interest in understanding financial transaction flows.
