About the Role

You will lead the production operations in the Plant, delivering key performance targets in safety, quality, productivity, volumes, cost, sustainability, and organizational morale. You will ensure our manufacturing strategy is implemented effectively and strive to build a high-performing organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage change and transformation within Operating teams for IL6S, Factory of Future, and autonomous/progressive maintenance.
  • Support annual operational plans and targets to meet Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability, and Engagement goals.
  • Coach Line Leaders and communicate plans and targets to employees.
  • Establish governance to review and control operational performance and continuous improvement plans.
  • Drive the Operating team to identify and manage improvements in technology, culture, capability, and operating systems.
  • Ensure all Manufacturing standards, Governance, and Compliance requirements are in place and implemented.
  • Lead talent, capabilities, and engagement for the Manufacturing team, identifying levers to attract, retain, and develop talent.
  • Partner effectively with multi-functional peers internally and externally to achieve objectives.
  • Ensure reliability of control automation, network systems, and power systems.
  • Upgrade obsolete control systems and modify/upgrade PLC logic, especially Rockwell Automation and Beckhoff, and HMI programming.
  • Maintain and improve plant electrician PLC/HMI/VFD/Servo Drive/Safety Controls/Robot/control system network and electrical safety.
  • Own and upgrade the site Critical Controls Network (CCN)/Industrial Data Center (IDC).
  • Ensure reliability of all process-related batch servers and develop standards for upkeep.
  • Act as Electrical Site Owner and work with the Regional Power Infrastructure Lead to maintain and improve site electrical programs.
  • Own site power infrastructure up to the second level of distribution, including IR scanning, MV systems maintenance, and grounding/bonding assessments.
  • Ensure electrical power quality and reliability of all substations.
  • Manage and back up site PLC/HMI and other control systems programs, software licenses, etc.
  • Own PSM7 (electrical safety).
  • Own software backup management.
  • Own site digitalization initiatives.
  • Manage direct reports' administrative items, including vacation, absences, call-ins, Infor, and discipline.

Requirements

  • Strong operational and manufacturing leadership experience in the CPG industry.
  • Experience with TPM, 5s, LEAN, and 6 sigma tools and concepts.
  • Excellent communication (verbal & written), coaching, and leadership skills in a team-based environment.
  • Demonstrated abilities in analytics, problem-solving, and team building.
  • Strong financial & business acumen.
  • Project management skills.
  • Knowledge of industrial maintenance and manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience in lean six sigma and TPM is an asset.
  • Prior experience leading teams of technical resources is an asset.

Salary/Compensations

  • $93,300 to $116,650 CAD
  • Bonus program with a target of 10% with the possibility for overachievement
