About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer/Program Manager to lead ongoing and launching products and programs. This role will be part of the combined Program Management / Product Launch Team, focusing on launch or program management work. The advanced career level Manufacturing Program Manager will work autonomously with occasional guidance, demonstrating strong organizational skills and the ability to lead results through influence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, organize, follow, and ensure results for product changes throughout the lifecycle of the product.
  • Deliver launch milestones in accordance with Program Timing.
  • Drive Launch & Program level quality.
  • Ownership of respective product change review board & corresponding change leader duties (use of GM GMCH Teamcenter software).
  • Coordinate all associated launch activities for respective programs following APQP, MQRR, and other GM specific launch processes.
  • Ensure all launching and current products are compliant with GMS (GM Global Manufacturing System).
  • Utilize advanced problem solving and continuous improvement tools to reduce cost (RedX, OpEx, etc.).
  • Support the development and implementation of manufacturing processes, procedures, and documentation to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams across the organization, in-person & virtually, to ensure manufacturability of new products and components.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 4+ years equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding and practical experience with various machining and assembly processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot.
