About the Role
The Plumber III performs skilled plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance work at casino facilities, adhering to company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Install, remodel, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures and equipment, including valves, control devices, pumps, boilers, sinks, toilets, faucets, and water/sewer lines.
- Clear stoppages and repair breaks or leaks in water, sewer lines, or other pipes.
- Cut and thread pipes.
- Fit and sweat copper pipe.
- Repair heating systems and water heaters.
- Repair and replace controls, thermometers, and gauges.
- Operate power tools such as jackhammers, power washers, drill motors, power snakes, power water jets, and torches for soldering.
- Operate pipe machines for threading and cutting pipe.
- Install, repair, and maintain swimming pool equipment, including pumps and electronic sensors.
- Keep records of time and materials used.
- Work overtime for emergency repairs.
- Maintain an understanding of information security policies and procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service and communicate professionally.
- Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to company policies.
- Complete required training programs within nine months of employment.
- Attend necessary meetings.
- Perform duties as assigned, understanding that responsibilities may change.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completed an apprentice program and retain a Journeyman Plumbers License or demonstrate equivalent knowledge and experience.
- Minimum of ten years of previous hands-on plumbing experience.
- Commercial plumbing experience required.
- Knowledge of state and local plumbing codes.
- Previous customer service experience preferred.
- Occasional travel is required.
- Computer experience to order parts for inventory and repairs.
- Ability to read as-built and construction blueprints.
- Ability to prioritize work assignments and pre-maintenance issues.
- Proven ability to act as a lead Plumber and mentor other Plumbers.
- Ability to be trained and certified in backflow inspection and certification.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
- Adequate manual dexterity to operate standard tools of the trade.
- Perform strenuous work requiring considerable arm pressure.
- Able to carry, set up, climb, and descend ladders.
- Able to stand, walk, squat, and crawl through tight spaces.
- Able to lift up to fifty pounds of equipment.
- Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced casino environment.
- Effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and the business community.
