About the Role

The Baruch STEP Academy is an academic enrichment program focusing on STEM education and providing college preparation for middle and high school students. Managed through the CUNY Research Foundation, this role involves preparing and teaching curriculum for 20-22 students in Immunology & Human Health.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and teach curriculum for 20-22 students
  • Evaluate student and group performance often
  • Provide staff with measurable results in student learning through assessments
  • Monitor and maintain accurate student attendance records
  • Reassess curriculum based on students' needs, interests, and understanding of materials
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Availability for each program day from 10:30am-12pm
  • Strong background in the subject area
  • Experience in a teaching capacity within subject area
  • Experience with designing/implementing a course curriculum
  • Have a strong classroom management style
