About the Role

This role will lead the development of the corporate fundraising plan for Ontario and manage a portfolio of corporate relationships. The focus is on developing partnerships with companies headquartered in Ontario to maximize revenue opportunities for the Foundation, sourcing, qualifying, cultivating, and closing new fundraising opportunities while supporting the activation and stewardship of existing partners for renewal and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage a portfolio of approximately 75+ corporate partners and prospects to generate revenue.
  • Conduct prospect research, identification, and qualification to increase annual growth of the portfolio.
  • Design and implement tailored strategies for solicitations, including proposals and presentations.
  • Conduct face-to-face partner meetings as needed.
  • Actively solicit and secure corporate support, including sponsorships for events and programs.
  • Oversee and steward relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Secure, lead, and conduct presentations and prospect meetings with assigned corporate accounts.
  • Negotiate and develop agreements that accurately represent the scope of the partnership.
  • Collaborate with various business units to strategize and develop proposals to secure new partners.
  • Create plans for each prospect and partner to ensure coordinated efforts.
  • Support the development and implementation of best-in-class activations and stewardship of partners.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for growth and expansion within existing relationships.
  • Lead communications with corporate partners internally and externally.
  • Provide expertise and guidance to colleagues in other provinces regarding cross-provincial opportunities.
  • Deliver on annual targets and achieve realized and campaign revenue goals.
  • Help grow a corporate partnership portfolio currently valued at approximately $1M with a clear path to $2M.
  • Develop the annual and multi-year plan for Ontario’s corporate partnership goals and objectives.
  • Develop an annual budget, reviewing financial results and projections.
  • Track all prospecting and account management activities in CRM database.
  • Gather competitive information and identify potential opportunities and challenges.
  • Ensure adherence to Corporate Partnerships policies and guidelines.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate program administration.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of corporate fundraising experience with demonstrated success closing and managing individual corporate partnerships valued at $50K+ per deal.
  • Proven success in building networks and corporate relationships.
  • Ability to leverage contacts in the corporate marketplace and network to develop connections.
  • Ability to anticipate potential issues and proactively resolve them through exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated donor focus through the ability to anticipate partners’ needs and proactively search for solutions.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Solid understanding of business management practices, sales and marketing best practices, and fundraising practices.
  • Basic understanding of the Foundation’s fundraising and health promotion brands and products.
  • Applicants must be currently residing in Canada and legally entitled to work in Canada.
