About the Role

As a Manager on our Family Office Tax team, you’ll deliver personalized, high-touch service to high net worth individuals and families with complex tax needs. You will apply technical expertise to develop and implement tax strategies, manage engagements from planning through compliance, and serve as a trusted advisor on complex individual tax matters.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and review individual income tax returns (Form 1040), including complex, multi-state filings for high net worth individuals and families.
  • Review and manage trust (Form 1041), estate (706) and gift (709), partnership (1065), and related entity filings as they relate to individual and wealth planning needs.
  • Identify and implement tax planning opportunities related to income, equity compensation, investments, wealth preservation, and wealth transfer.
  • Serve as a technical resource on complex individual and family office tax issues, including foreign reporting, international tax compliance, multi-state taxation and coordination across investment partnerships, management companies, and related entities.
  • Stay current on tax law changes, regulatory updates, and industry best practices to ensure accurate and strategic client advice.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for high net worth and family office clients, delivering proactive, strategic, and client-friendly tax guidance.
  • Advise clients on complex individual and family tax matters and planning considerations that support long-term financial goals.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships grounded in trust, responsiveness, and high-quality service.
  • Partner with internal teams — including family office accounting — to deliver a seamless, integrated client experience with consistent communication and follow-through.
  • Review work prepared by senior and staff-level professionals, providing coaching and guidance on complex individual and family office tax issues.
  • Mentor and develop team members through ongoing feedback, technical training, and on-the-job support.
  • Promote a collaborative, inclusive team environment that values diverse perspectives and professional growth.
  • Support efficient engagement execution while maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and accountability.
  • Demonstrate forward-thinking, innovation, and a commitment to delivering exceptional work product.

Requirements

  • CPA license or progress toward CPA strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • 5+ years of tax experience with a strong focus on high net worth individual taxation, preferably within public accounting, a family office, or a related professional services environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and support the development of junior professionals.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly and effectively to clients.
