About the Role
As a Data Engineer at theGuarantors, you will be instrumental in developing, deploying, and maintaining our data infrastructure. You will build, optimize, and maintain data pipelines, ensuring data availability and reliability for analytical and business needs. This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth in data engineering.
Responsibilities
- Assist in designing and implementing data pipelines for data collection, ingestion, and transformation.
- Monitor and maintain data quality standards, perform data validation, and resolve data quality issues.
- Assist in the design and maintenance of data warehousing solutions.
- Automate routine data engineering tasks to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Develop and maintain lightweight data applications for ML interfaces, CRUD operations, and interactive analysis.
- Identify and implement optimizations to the data stack for improved performance and reduced processing times.
- Create and maintain documentation for data pipelines, processes, and data flows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver data solutions.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in data engineering.
- Curate and maintain data sets and pipelines crucial to operational data models, feature stores, and AI/ML workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Demonstrated application of SQL and Python scripting skills.
- Basic understanding of data modeling concepts.
- Proficiency in using data integration and ETL tools (e.g., Stitch/Talend, Airbyte, Fivetran, etc).
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and technologies (e.g., Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, etc).
- Experience with AI-integrated development (tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Github Copilot or similar).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
