About the Role

We are seeking a professional to lead challenging Data and AI projects within the Public Sector, understanding the specific frameworks, processes, and decision-making paths of government agencies and public institutions. This role involves acquiring new projects, participating in public tenders and procurement procedures, identifying market potential, developing customer relationships, and managing the entire proposal process. You will independently manage data-driven AI and IT integration initiatives through all project phases, ensuring quality, budget, and timeline goals are met. Acting as the primary client contact, you will foster collaborative partnerships for sustained customer satisfaction and strategically develop existing accounts to initiate follow-on projects. Effective stakeholder management, including coordinating diverse client interests, managing expectations, and collaborating with internal teams like Delivery, Controlling, Partner Management, and Leadership, is crucial. Responsibilities also include creating and managing project plans, milestones, resource allocation, and budget overviews, as well as moderating workshops, steering committees, project meetings, and reviews.

Responsibilities

Requirements

Several years of experience in leading complex AI, Data, or IT transformation projects.
Proven experience in managing large project teams and budgets.
Familiarity with Data Engineering, Analytics, or Data Science.
Understanding of technical and organizational aspects of modern data platforms.
Experience with projects involving government agencies, ministries, public institutions, or similar public sector organizations.
Knowledge of public procurement processes and requirements of public clients.
Proficiency in applying classic and agile project management methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, hybrid models).
Strong presentation skills, excellent communication abilities, and a high degree of structuring capability in both German and English.
Certifications in established project management frameworks (e.g., PRINCE2, Scrum, SAFe) are a plus.
Independent, solution-oriented work ethic with a strong focus on quality.
Ability to maintain an overview and act professionally in challenging project situations.
