About the Role

As part of our Asset & Wealth Management practice, you’ll help clients better align their operating models, investment platforms, data, and technology with their business strategies. Our work spans the full investment value chain—from front-office investment decision support and portfolio construction to middle- and back-office processing, data governance, and reporting. You’ll serve both traditional and alternative asset managers, wealth platforms, and service providers, working on initiatives that enable efficiency, scale, transparency, and investment insight. Increasingly, this includes supporting clients as they expand into Private Markets and semi-liquid alternative products - helping bridge the operational, data, and regulatory complexities between public and private investments within integrated investment platforms such as Aladdin.

Responsibilities

  • Support clients across the investment management lifecycle, from product development and investment operations to fund accounting, data management, and reporting.
  • Help design and implement target operating models that improve scalability, cost efficiency, and governance across front-, middle-, and back-office functions.
  • Participate in technology-enabled transformations, including system selection and implementation, with a particular focus on Aladdin-led investment platform transformations, as well as Charles River, Geneva, Investran, eFront, or equivalent solutions.
  • Support clients in Aladdin configuration, data integration, operating model alignment, and change management to ensure platforms are fully embedded into day-to-day investment and operational processes.
  • Work with clients on emerging areas such as outsourcing strategy, automation, and digital operating models.
  • Contribute to business development, thought leadership, and knowledge sharing within the team, particularly around market convergence between traditional and alternative investments.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across service lines to bring integrated EY solutions spanning operations, data, risk, finance, and technology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, computer science, engineering, or related discipline; MBA or MS preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a traditional or alternative asset management firm, fund administrator, or wealth platform, or financial services consulting with exposure to investment operations or technology transformation.
  • Hands-on experience with BlackRock Aladdin is strongly preferred, including exposure to portfolio management, risk analytics, trading workflows, investment operations, or data within the Aladdin ecosystem.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting or working within Aladdin‑enabled investment processes, such as portfolio construction, risk analysis, trading workflows, investment operations, or investment data management.
  • Experience with additional investment systems such as Charles River, Eagle, eFront, Investran, or Geneva is also valued.
  • Experience with process improvement, system implementation, project management, platform implementation, or middle-office outsourcing.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and client service skills.
  • Willingness to travel as required; valid driver’s license and passport.

Skills

  • Solid understanding of the asset and wealth management industry, including investment operations, product structures, and client segments.
  • Interest or experience in Private Markets and Alternatives (e.g., Private Equity, Private Credit, Real Estate, Infrastructure, or secondaries) as the industry expands access to non-traditional products.
  • Ability to translate complex business and operational requirements into practical, technology-enabled solutions.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to distill complex findings into actionable insights for clients.
  • Understanding of BlackRock Aladdin as an end‑to‑end investment platform, including how portfolio management, risk analytics, trading, investment operations, and data workflows are integrated across the investment lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to thrive in collaborative, fast-paced consulting environments.
  • Prior consulting experience with a Big 4 or other global professional services firm.
  • Exposure to Private Markets operations, fund structures, or investor reporting.
  • Exposure to Aladdin-enabled operating models, investment data architectures, or platform integration initiatives.
  • Understanding of how digital platforms, investment analytics, automation, and data solutions are transforming the investment management ecosystem.
  • Experience assessing vendor solutions or service providers for fund accounting, data management, or performance measurement.
  • Interest in the intersection of public and private markets, and how firms are evolving to serve institutional and wealth clients more effectively.
