About the Role

Aon Japan is currently recruiting a Catastrophe Risk Analyst for Reinsurance Solutions. As part of the Catastrophe Management team, you will play an integral role providing analytics support on risk assessment and risk management consulting for Aon Reinsurance Solutions clients.

Responsibilities

  • Portfolio analysis using catastrophe models
  • Evaluation of catastrophe models
  • Interaction with Broker Team and Analytics to present results to clients and reinsurers
  • Post event analysis following a major catastrophe event

Requirements

  • Natural catastrophe risk quantification
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office suites (Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts
  • Ability to lead teams and work flexibly to meet deadlines
  • Fluent in Japanese (native speaker, JPNL 1 or equivalent)
  • Business level English language skills

Skills

  • Catastrophe modelling experience with vendor models (RMS, Verisk, CoreLogic)
  • Programming experience in VBA, SQL, R or Python
