About the Role
KPMG's Technology Consulting Advisory Practice helps clients develop high-performing IT functions and leverage investments in current systems to deliver significant business value. We assist clients in defining their Information Management / IT / Digital strategy and guide them through their technology and digital transformational journey to become a digitally connected enterprise. The Enterprise Solutions Practice is seeking dynamic Co-op Consultants for a 4-month term from January 2027 to April 2027.
Responsibilities
- Configuring and developing workflow and custom apps by translating user stories into logical technical designs.
- Engaging in hands-on development and build activities, using mainstream development platforms and low-code SaaS applications.
- Conducting hands-on development for multi-platform integrations.
- Participating in regular interactions with internal stakeholders and clients.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment on project goals.
- Assisting in the testing and quality assurance processes to ensure that developed solutions meet client specifications and industry standards.
- Contributing to the documentation of technical specifications for end-users.
- Learning and applying best practices in software development methodologies and tools, such as Agile or DevOps, to enhance project delivery.
- Exploring emerging technologies and tools to recommend innovative solutions that can improve client operations.
- Engaging in code reviews and providing constructive feedback to peers to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Participating in workshops and training sessions to enhance technical skills and stay updated on industry trends.
- Assisting in the deployment and maintenance of applications, ensuring smooth transitions from development to production environments.
- Networking with industry professionals and attending relevant conferences or seminars to broaden your understanding of enterprise solutions.
Requirements
- Must be enrolled in a university degree program (Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Commerce, etc.).
- Experience in coding and computer science is a strong asset for technical roles.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong academic record.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Proven track record of successfully dealing with multiple priorities and deadlines under pressure.
- Impeccable attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a client-facing role with both technical and functional stakeholders.
- Strong relationship management skills and a passion for client satisfaction and delivery excellence.
- All selected candidates must have or obtain legal authorization to work in Canada before the start date of employment.
