About the Role
Aon is seeking an Employee Relations Advisor or experienced HR Generalist for a 12-month fixed-term position within the People Matters team. This role involves providing guidance on employee relations, HR policies, and legislative compliance, while partnering with leaders to achieve positive people outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Advise managers and colleagues on HR policies, employment practices, and compliance requirements.
- Partner with leaders to manage performance, resolve workplace issues, and drive engagement.
- Conduct investigations and manage disciplinary processes with professionalism and discretion.
- Support absence management, wellbeing initiatives, and flexible work arrangements.
- Contribute to organisational change projects.
- Collaborate with Employment Law and Compliance teams to mitigate risk and ensure best practice.
- Participate in global HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Approximately 2 years of employee relations experience or a broader generalist HR background with exposure to performance management, workplace investigations, disciplinary matters, and manager advisory work.
- Proven experience in employee relations or HR advisory roles.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
- Ability to handle sensitive cases with discretion and integrity.
- Analytical mindset and proficiency in HR systems and MS Office.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Experience in execution and implementation of change management activity.
