About the Role
The Purchasing and Logistic Associate is a key member of the Purchasing team, supporting the Windows Department and overall purchasing operations. This role is vital for procuring goods and coordinating purchasing activities to ensure smooth operational flow.
Responsibilities
- Prepare purchase orders, verify pricing and invoices, and communicate with vendors for product details and delivery schedules.
- Support branches in managing inventory levels, expedite orders, and resolve issues with missing, delayed, or damaged products.
- Manage freight, dispatch RBS trucks, work with freight schedules, and maintain quoting systems for freight companies.
- Facilitate communication between purchasing departments, collaborate with suppliers and branches, and assist with finance reports to clear month-end invoices.
- Assist in setting up SharePoint, maintain cost templates including uploads, and provide delivery information to RBS locations.
- Investigate and resolve product-related issues and support the Operations Associate with outstanding supplier credits.
Requirements
- At least 3 years strong background and work experience in an office environment of Distribution/Logistics business.
- Strong active listening & communication skills – written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
- Ability to organize and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
