About the Role
The Major Giving East Manager will support the USA Philanthropy East team by managing portfolios of high-net-worth donors and prospects, collaborating with Officers to implement strategies for significant donor relationships, and supporting cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship efforts. This role offers growth opportunities for individuals eager to advance in front-line fundraising.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with assigned Officer(s) to execute strategies for high-net-worth individuals, driving critical revenue.
- Draft correspondence for Officer interactions, including general and targeted communications.
- Support payment processing for bank transactions, ensuring compliance with IRC and Donor policies.
- Assist in creating materials, agendas, and briefings for external and internal meetings.
- Manage donor and prospect expectations and objectives with Officer(s), adhering to stewardship reporting requirements.
- Act as a liaison between donors/prospects and field staff, ensuring clear and strategic communication.
- Collaborate with Prospect Research, Analytics, and Operations teams to manage the donor cycle.
- Update the donor database (Salesforce) for portfolio assignments, proposals, prospect research, report requirements, and donor communication.
- Manage information flow between donors, prospects, program staff, and Officer(s).
- Oversee internal drafting and approval processes for proposals, reports, and budgets.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and IRC staff globally.
- Undertake special projects and administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years of previous work experience, preferably in development, fundraising, non-profit, marketing, or sales.
- Ability to meet deadlines with quality deliverables.
- Strong interpersonal, oral, written, and presentation skills.
- Experience with relevant technologies and tools.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Understanding of the role of written communications in relationship building.
- Ability to identify, build, and implement processes for effective donor relationships.
- Strong ability to establish and maintain lasting professional relationships internally and externally.
- Highly computer literate, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with CRM databases, including Salesforce.
- Ability to respond quickly to changes in short-term work priorities.
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
- Dedication to fundraising for international development, humanitarian causes, human rights, social justice, and US immigrant communities.
