About the Role
The Department of Chemistry at the University of Massachusetts Amherst invites applications for a full-time, academic year, tenure-track faculty member to develop or continue a vigorous research program in Experimental Biological Chemistry, particularly in Macromolecular Structure and Function using NMR.
Responsibilities
- Develop or continue a vigorous research program in Experimental Biological Chemistry.
- Conduct research in Macromolecular Structure and Function using NMR.
- Join a vibrant, collaborative and interdisciplinary biological chemistry and structural biology community.
- Potentially join the Molecular and Cell Biology Interdisciplinary Graduate Training Program, the Institute for Applied Life Sciences, the Biotechnology Training Program, or the Chemistry Biology Interface Training Program.
Requirements
- Ph.D. degree or equivalent in Chemistry or a related field.
- Relevant post-doctoral experience.
- Talented applicants qualified for Assistant Professor positions.
- Under exceptional circumstances, highly qualified candidates at other ranks will receive consideration.
- Women and applicants from other groups underrepresented in Chemistry are particularly encouraged to apply.
