About the Role
EY Parthenon’s Infrastructure Advisory practice advises public and private sector clients on transactions and broader financial, strategic, and commercial advice related to infrastructure projects. We support government and private sector clients tackle major challenges including decarbonizing the economy, leveling up via regional devolution, delivering efficient public services, and strategically managing capital. We are focused on growing our practice in response to the UK’s infrastructure agenda and large Government-led infrastructure programmes. We are looking for a motivated and passionate Senior Executive (Manager) to join us.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert financial, commercial, and strategic advice to clients on transactions and policy/financial strategy within inclusive and dynamic teams.
- Develop and nurture a network across the sector to support business development.
- Help clients make informed, robust, evidence-based decisions through option appraisals.
- Build and work with financial models, including establishing financing structures and undertaking sensitivity/scenario analysis.
- Create business cases involving strategic, economic, financial, and commercial evaluation.
- Structure and advise on procurements, including evaluating bids and helping sponsors draft bids for public services and infrastructure investment.
- Present impactful reports to senior client stakeholders to facilitate effective decision-making.
- Drive key business development activities, including EY’s wider growth strategies.
Requirements
- Excellent financial skills, including an understanding of corporate finance.
- Experience in financial modelling, including modelling of debt structures.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- High degree of personal drive and motivation to enhance knowledge and succeed.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with team members, organisations, and clients.
- Experience working in the Government, Energy, or Transport sectors.
Skills
- Understanding of, and interest in, the Government, Energy, and Transport sectors.
- Understanding of key strategic drivers in the infrastructure sector, with a focus on Government-led projects.
- Ability to thrive in an inclusive and flexible working environment as part of a diverse and dynamic team.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with team members, organisations, and clients.
- High degree of personal drive and motivation to enhance knowledge, develop skills, and succeed.
- Financial/data analysis and financial modelling capability.
- Commercial and financial acumen.
