About the Role
As a Cloud Platform Architect for Google Cloud, you will shape future-proof cloud platforms, develop scalable and secure Google Cloud architectures, and create the technological foundation for our clients' digital transformation.
Responsibilities
- Conceive and implement cloud landing zones, container platforms, and cloud-native tools.
- Provide strategic consulting for the introduction of cloud technologies, specifically Google Cloud (GCP), based on customer-specific requirements.
- Design sophisticated Google Cloud solutions and architectures considering reliability, security, performance, and cost, while incorporating current Google Cloud services.
- Lead international cloud engineering teams within customer projects.
- Support pre-sales and sales activities in the cloud sector.
- Conduct feasibility studies and innovation projects, and drive the advancement of our service portfolio.
- Collaborate closely with other national and international NTT DATA teams.
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of the Google Cloud (GCP) ecosystem, demonstrated through hands-on projects.
- Several years of experience in the productive use of container platforms and serverless technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Run, or Cloud Functions).
- Comprehensive knowledge in the introduction of cloud-native tools for Continuous Integration & Delivery, Observability, and Security (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins, Prometheus, Grafana, or Trivy).
- Experience in technical leadership, mentoring, and coaching teams.
- Professional presentation of experiences and recommendations to decision-makers and large audiences, supported by practical experience and strong methodological competence in developing IT architectures.
- Knowledge of current technology trends and an understanding of upcoming developments in the cloud sector.
- A degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification.
- Strong communication skills and very good German and English language proficiency.
