About the Role
Manage a collaborative and dynamic team focused on solving challenging electric transmission problems. Serve as a Supervisor and Engineering Lead on high voltage electric transmission line design projects, applying industry standards to projects ranging from 34.5 kV to 765 kV. Develop an engineering team, manage client relations, and oversee proposal development, scope creation, and project management. Apply AI, automation, and digital design platforms to enhance grid modernization and design efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Manage a collaborative and dynamic team.
- Serve as a Supervisor and Engineering Lead on high voltage electric transmission line design projects.
- Apply NESC, ASCE, ACI, NEC, and other applicable standards in engineering and design.
- Perform engineering analyses.
- Prepare bidding documents, plans, and specifications.
- Prepare material procurement and construction documents.
- Work alongside project planning, environmental, permitting, and construction management.
- Develop an engineering team with direct report responsibilities.
- Manage client relations.
- Manage proposal development.
- Manage scope creation.
- Manage project management.
- Apply AI, automation, and digital design platforms.
- Convey clear expectations, goals, and vision.
- Manage the performance of direct reports.
- Motivate, coach, and mentor skilled professionals.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
- Twelve plus (12+) years of relevant experience in the design of high voltage electric utility transmission systems.
- Professional Engineering Registration in at least one U.S. state or equivalent.
- Experience with PLS-CADD, POLE, TOWER, SAG10, LPILE and/or FAD.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
- Work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to work independently.
- Five plus (5+) years of supervising staff.
- Outstanding communication skills to serve as primary point of contact for clients.
- Business acumen with a record of understanding and meeting key project performance metrics.
- Ability and passion to develop staff through mentoring.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
