About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated individual to help us achieve our ambition of Ecological Transformation by pushing for genuine change. This role is crucial in supporting our high-performing HR team on a temporary basis.

Responsibilities

  • Work cohesively with Senior Leadership teams and Executive Committee to provide strategic HR solutions, business insights, and medium to long-term support on people-related matters.
  • Manage and motivate a high-performing team of Employee Relations Specialists and HR Business Partners, ensuring excellent service levels.
  • Drive full talent mapping and succession planning reviews across corporate business lines, developing and mobilising talent throughout the business unit.
  • Provide expert Employee Relations knowledge and advice, manage complex disciplinary and grievance issues, and serve as escalation point for Trade Union matters.
  • Lead the annual pay and bonus cycle, objective setting, and personal development plan processes for the Business Unit.
  • Drive workforce planning activities aligned with Veolia's future vision, identifying skills and knowledge gaps.
  • Support successful mobilisation and integration of TUPE and potential mergers, cascading HR strategy across the business.

Requirements

  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to think strategically and put strategy into action.
  • Experience operating as a trusted advisor to board-level executives and Senior Leadership Teams.
  • Expert knowledge of current HR matters including Employment Law, Industrial Relations, Workforce Planning, Succession Planning and complex ER cases.
  • The ability to utilise company analytics to drive company performance.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading and motivating high-performing teams, improving employee engagement, and creating a high-performing culture.
