About the Role

Join Baker Tilly (BT) as a Senior Consultant (Life Sciences – Technology Implementation) in our Risk Advisory practice. This role focuses on providing exceptional client service in risk and advisory, assessing risks, and developing strategies for clients in an ever-changing business environment. Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary client-facing consultant and trusted advisor for assigned engagements.
  • Manage multiple concurrent SaaS implementations from kickoff through launch and stabilization.
  • Lead requirements, solution design, status, and other client meetings.
  • Develop and manage project plans, milestones, deliverables, risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Coordinate activities across client stakeholders, internal teams, and third parties.
  • Gather and translate business requirements into functional and technical solution designs.
  • Analyze business processes and recommend solutions that leverage product capabilities and best practices.
  • Configure workflows, business rules, roles, permissions, reporting, reference data, and other application functionality.
  • Define integration requirements, data mappings, business rules, and interfaces between the SaaS platform and other systems.
  • Collaborate with technical teams on APIs, file-based integrations, data migration, and related activities.
  • Troubleshoot functional, configuration, data, and integration issues.
  • Develop and execute functional, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Plan and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and manage issues through resolution.
  • Develop documentation and deliver training to client administrators and business users.
  • Coordinate production readiness, cutover, go-live, and post-launch stabilization.
  • Provide ongoing functional and application support for assigned clients.
  • Manage configuration changes, reporting requests, issues, and process improvements.
  • Perform defined business processes within client systems as an extension of the client's team.
  • Execute recurring activities such as data management, workflow processing, reporting, reconciliations, and system administration.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation, quality controls, and audit trails for work performed on behalf of clients.

Requirements

  • 4 year degree
  • Three (3) years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree in science, business or related program
  • 3+ years of experience in SaaS implementation, technology consulting, professional services, or a similar client-facing role.
  • Experience across the software implementation lifecycle, from requirements through production launch.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client implementations simultaneously.
  • Strong client-facing, consulting, project management, and communication skills.
  • Experience gathering requirements and translating them into system solutions.
  • Hands-on experience configuring SaaS or enterprise applications.
  • Working knowledge of integrations, data flows, interfaces, and data mapping.
  • Experience with testing, UAT, training, and production launches.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with MediSpend or comparable SaaS platforms.
  • Life sciences, pharmaceutical, medical device, healthcare, compliance, or other regulated-industry experience.
  • Familiarity with transparency reporting, aggregate spend, or HCP/HCO data.
  • Experience with APIs, SFTP/file-based integrations, data migration, CRM, ERP, or other enterprise systems.
  • Experience delivering managed services or performing business processes on behalf of clients.
