About the Role
The Development Coordinator supports Global Markets fundraisers and managers in various development activities, including portfolio management, scheduling, event coordination, data entry, reporting, and research. This role is crucial for updating donor and fundraiser data in the fundraising management system and ensuring smooth operations within the Global Development Fundraising Operations team.
Responsibilities
- Support Global Markets out-the-door fundraisers and fundraising managers in various development activities.
- Manage and track fundraising portfolios.
- Schedule and plan logistics for meetings.
- Coordinate events.
- Maintain donor and team files.
- Pull reports.
- Send gift acknowledgements.
- Perform basic research.
- Update donor and fundraiser data in the database, including interactions, plans, strategies, contact information, relationships, and communications preferences.
- Utilize the fundraising management system for data entry, report production, analysis, research, and prospect/donor tracking.
- Apply established processes and practices to improve effectiveness.
- Provide staff with information needed for decision-making and problem-solving.
- Perform administrative functions as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 1-year experience or equivalent combination.
- Experience in business writing, editing, and proofreading.
- Experience managing diverse activities to meet deadlines.
- Experience working and communicating with a wide range of people.
- Must meet the requirements of The Nature Conservancy's background screening process.
