About the Role
The Associate Vice President – Client Development is responsible to lead the business development of projects and programs for the EHS/Industrial Hygiene business practices, including providing leadership and management of key accounts, client relationships, and strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and lead the execution of strategic plans to grow consulting services with a focus on the EHS/Industrial Hygiene business practices.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, cultivating relationships with existing and potential clients, and negotiate contracts to achieve project capture and revenue targets.
- Advance relationships to ‘trusted advisor’ status and develop key accounts with long-term and multi-practice support potential through client partnering.
- Engage with potential and existing clients through meetings, conference attendance, site visits, and other strategic means.
- Act as a champion and account manager for client individuals and sites, promoting client goals, objectives, and schedule of deliverables.
- Assure client satisfaction with services and interact with operations to proactively address any service issues.
- Lead the development of proposals for potential new projects and programs.
- Serve as a senior resource to lead/deliver projects as needed.
- Ensure assigned resources execute work as planned and with high quality.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, seminars, and networking events to promote services and enhance visibility within the mining community.
- Reinforce collaboration and team building, ensure client focus, demonstrate commitment to excellence and innovation, and motivate others.
- Monitor and promote environmental health and worker safety.
- Mentor junior/intermediate project team members.
- Conduct senior reviews of technical deliverables and programs in area(s) of expertise.
- Perform all other related duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- 15+ years of previous experience working in environmental consulting, A/E/C or relevant industry.
- 10+ years of business development experience and leading/building client relationships.
- Ability to work effectively with team members on multi-disciplinary projects.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other business software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
