About the Role
Nimble Brain turns real-world operational data into training sets, evaluations, and feedback loops to enhance robot intelligence. Data Collection Supervisors will lead a team of operators, ensuring their output, attendance, quality, and morale are managed effectively during their shift. This is a player-coach role requiring hands-on demonstration, coaching, and leadership.
Responsibilities
- Manage shift operations including coverage, attendance, breaks, task assignments, and smooth handoffs.
- Coach operators on quality scorecards within 24 hours, providing side-by-side feedback and conducting re-certifications.
- Deliver onboarding training to new operators and provide input on working interviews and ramp cohorts.
- Perform first-line performance management, recognizing strong work, addressing issues directly, and escalating when necessary.
- Coordinate with technicians to maintain rig functionality, triage issues, minimize downtime, and log equipment problems.
- Report daily shift metrics, including accepted episodes per operator-hour, rig uptime, attendance, and blockers.
- Enforce safety and data-handling procedures strictly.
- Communicate learnings from shift-level fixes to inform site playbooks and future location launches.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience leading frontline hourly teams (shift lead, line lead, crew lead, supervisor) in warehouse, fulfillment, manufacturing, production, food service at scale, or comparable hands-on operations.
- Proven experience coaching individuals to a measurable standard and improving their job performance.
- Comfort with direct, early, and in-person performance conversations.
- Reliable attendance and flexibility for shift work, including evenings.
- Sharp attention to detail for precision work.
- Ability to work in person at the assigned collection site.
