About the Role
Drive for Upstate Medical University Shuttle Service in Syracuse, NY, transporting hospital employees to and from parking areas on local, steady routes.
Responsibilities
- Greet patrons politely and assist them.
- Safely shuttle customers to various destinations.
- Open and close doors for patrons.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and signs for safe shuttle operation.
- Communicate effectively with customers and co-workers via radio contact with management, shuttle drivers, and lot attendants.
- Complete required pre-trip inspections to meet federal and company safety requirements.
- Record passenger counts and trip times.
- Complete necessary paperwork for daily operations.
- Assist in equipment set up and break down (e.g., signs, cones).
- Sweep shuttles and remove debris to ensure cleanliness.
- Communicate mechanical problems with shuttles to management.
- Comply with company procedures for shuttle operations.
Requirements
- Must be over 20 years old.
- Customer service experience is a must.
- A valid NY Class B or higher CDL with passenger endorsement is required.
- A valid medical card is required.
- Background checks and driving test will be conducted.
