About the Role
Wise is seeking a Lead Analyst to lead their Growth analytics team in London. This role is crucial for providing financial data and insights to support business decisions in a rapidly growing FinTech company.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of analysts responsible for data curation, metric surfacing, statistical modeling, and in-depth analysis.
- Act as a liaison between the analytics team and stakeholders, helping to define and understand needs.
- Analyze the causes of growth (or lack thereof) and communicate findings to key decision-makers.
- Develop repeatable explanatory frameworks for growth performance.
- Collaborate with Data Science teams to build customer models.
- Partner with other analytics teams to share global perspectives.
- Lead and manage a team of 3 analysts, with potential for growth.
Requirements
- 5-6 years of experience as an analyst.
- 2-5 years of experience leading others (can overlap with analyst experience).
- Intermediate to advanced SQL skills.
- Understanding of statistics and statistical modeling.
- 2-4 years of experience in similar roles.
- Data visualization and storytelling ability.
- Ability to self-organize and manage stakeholders.
- Demonstrated impact or going above and beyond basic role requirements.
- Experience with Python/R.
- Mathematical background.
- Dbt (desirable).
- Data modeling in a warehouse context (desirable).
- Understanding of testing and experimental design (desirable).
- Must pass criminal and credit checks for regulatory compliance.
