About the Role

As a Business Development Intern, you will be exposed to multiple aspects of Summit Farms extensive farming operation and other business development activities in agriculture. The position is responsible for managing projects and completing tasks accurately and timely associated with livestock facility acquisitions and construction, farmland management, and more.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and oversight of construction projects under management.
• Work with livestock production staff on other projects related to business development.
• Assist in managing farm real-estate assets, including farm visits, assessing improvement projects, overseeing projects, and developing/refining farm management processes.
• Assist in drafting, executing, and managing various agreements such as Contract Feeding Agreements, Manure Easements, Cash Rent Leases, and Wind Farms Option Agreements.
• Maintain and cultivate relationships with stakeholders, landowners, and community members.
• Manage special projects as needed.
• Deliver a final presentation to Summit's management team.
