About the Role
The Program Coordinator supports the development, delivery, and promotion of high-quality programs across various areas, ensuring alignment with the YMCA mission, association standards, branch goals, and community needs while driving participation and revenue.
Responsibilities
- Support the development, delivery, and expansion of high-quality, mission-driven programs aligned with branch and association goals.
- Help ensure consistent program quality, effective resource use, and session-based activities that promote skill progression.
- Support staff onboarding, training, lesson planning, and daily program delivery.
- Reinforce program standards, safety expectations, and service excellence.
- Assist with staff meetings to share updates and address challenges.
- Assist with compliance to all safety, regulatory, and YMCA policies.
- Support safety training, emergency procedures, incident reporting, and equipment readiness.
- Maintain accurate program builds, registrations, schedules, rosters, and participation data.
- Support program setup, payroll reporting, evaluations, and participant feedback.
- Support program and membership growth through marketing, engagement, and customer service.
- Build positive relationships with participants, families, staff, and volunteers.
- Assist with special events, fundraising, and regular program review meetings.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year’s experience in Youth/Sports and Child Care.
- Experience in staff supervision, committees and in providing leadership to groups.
- Ability to recruit, train, schedule, supervise and motivate staff.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated experience setting and managing priorities.
- Exhibit strong leadership skills; possess a passion for member service, building and maintaining a culture of member service excellence.
