This role combines editorial judgment, writing, reporting, community instinct, and creative production, requiring a deep curiosity and active use of AI tools.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a public home for student stories, project spotlights, guides, and learning resources.
  • Develop a regular publishing cadence to facilitate peer learning and showcase student projects.
  • Interview students and review projects to identify compelling narratives and use cases for amplification.
  • Create clear and engaging stories across various formats, including written profiles, social posts, videos, demos, and internal briefs.
  • Manage the recruitment marketing campaign for the Student Collective, including promotional materials and messaging.
  • Collaborate with Social, Comms, Stories Engine, Marketing, Education, Product, and agency partners to amplify stories.
  • Own the internal storytelling loop, product/team roadshows, and cross-functional readouts.
  • Work with regional Community Managers to source stories, identify trends, and understand student needs.
  • Experiment with AI-native editorial workflows using tools like ChatGPT, Codex, and ImageGen.
  • Develop systems and templates to ensure repeatable student storytelling across different markets.

Requirements

  • Excellent writing and editorial judgment, with experience in journalism, communications, editorial, social, content strategy, or documentary-style storytelling.
  • Strong interviewing skills and the ability to identify interesting, credible, and shareable content.
  • Ability to translate technical or emerging use cases into accessible stories and resources.
  • Deep curiosity and fluency with AI tools, including active use of ChatGPT, Codex, or creative AI tools.
  • High agency and comfort with building new initiatives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Strong organization and follow-through skills across multiple tasks and stakeholders.
  • Experience working with students, creators, developers, educators, community programs, or internet-native audiences.
  • Good judgment regarding privacy, consent, confidentiality, and responsible representation of student stories.
  • Creative production ability across formats (video editing, social production, demo creation, multimedia storytelling) is a strong plus.
