About the Role

We are seeking a high-agency program operator to manage and scale OpenAI's student community initiatives across the Americas. This role involves owning program systems, coordinating execution across North and Latin America, and identifying and resolving operational gaps to support program growth. The ideal candidate is comfortable creating structure in ambiguous situations, managing details, and balancing program operations, regional coordination, and direct student support.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day program operations including recruitment, candidate review, onboarding, student support, activations, and end-of-cycle programming.
  • Build, maintain, and improve Airtable and other systems for student recruitment, selection, onboarding, events, reporting, and feedback.
  • Own dashboards and weekly reporting on program progress, risks, blockers, decisions, and next steps.
  • Coordinate with Experience, Localization, Editorial, Strategy & Ops, agency partners, and cross-functional teams to manage dependencies and ensure progress.
  • Develop operating rhythms, templates, checklists, documentation, and handoff processes to facilitate program scaling.
  • Partner with community managers to gather student needs, product feedback, program gaps, standout use cases, and emerging regional trends.
  • Proactively identify unclear ownership or missing support and drive agreed-upon next steps to completion.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in program management, community operations, field marketing, campus programs, creator/community programs, or a related role.
  • Strong systems thinking with hands-on experience building and maintaining Airtable, CRM, project management, or workflow systems.
  • Excellent execution skills in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams across people, timelines, tools, and deliverables.
  • Strong written communication skills for updates, recaps, documentation, and stakeholder reporting.
  • Comfort working with internal teams, agencies, contractors, and regional partners.
  • High ownership, low ego, and willingness to address complex problems.
  • Strong interest in AI and its applications by students.
  • Familiarity with Slack, Google Workspace, Airtable, Luma, and community management tools.
