About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Finance Associate to join our fast-paced Operational Finance team. This hybrid role involves contributing to daily Accounts Payable and expense operations, with exposure to the full finance cycle, including month-end close and balance sheet control. The ideal candidate is adaptable, proactive, and eager to understand financial data.

Responsibilities

Review and process invoices, ensuring accurate and timely transaction recording.
Serve as the primary reviewer for the business expense management system.
Conduct recurring supplier and bank reconciliations (multi-currency).
Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
Prepare and post accruals and prepayment journals, maintaining appropriate schedules.
Support the maintenance of the fixed asset register and its movements during the monthly close.
Assist with variance analysis for month-end reporting packs.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to processes and controls, and identify areas for improvement.
Support audit deliverables by preparing accompanying documentation and evidence within agreed timeframes.
Undertake ad hoc projects and requests to build understanding of how finance supports commercial decision-making.

Requirements

At least part-qualified in a recognized accounting qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent).
Practical experience in a finance role (placement, graduate scheme, or early career).
Hands-on experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP system.
Technology savvy with advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
Proficient with everyday tools like Gmail and Slack.
Experience using AI tools for efficiency is a bonus.
Technology sector experience is a plus but not essential.
Inquisitive and curious nature, willing to ask 'why'.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to quickly master new software and digital tools.
Confident communication and problem-solving skills with stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment requiring speed, accuracy, and a proactive attitude.
Passion for driving improvements and positive change.
Must have the right to work in the country of application; visa sponsorship is not offered.
