About the Role
The Sustainable1 Commercial team is focused on expanding and deepening client relationships in the climate and sustainability sector. This role will contribute to revenue growth while assisting clients with their sustainability initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Owns a new business sales target for an assigned territory.
- Assist the Continental European team in identifying new client acquisitions.
- Design and execute new go-to-market strategies within the region.
- Identify cross-sell opportunities.
Requirements
- Typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience in ESG and sustainability solutions, customer support, sales, or relationship management in B2B environments.
- Proven track record of achieving revenue targets or managing complex client relationships and/or projects.
- Strong understanding of sustainability frameworks and ESG principles (e.g., EBA requirements, CSRD, SFDR, CSDDD, ISSB) and ability to translate technical concepts into clear business value propositions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including experience leading client meetings, demos, and strategic planning sessions.
- Strong working knowledge of CRM systems and prospecting databases (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, ZoomInfo, Salesloft, or similar), including maintaining detailed client records and pipeline management.
- Familiarity with AI agents is preferred.
- Willingness to travel within Europe for client visits and industry events.
- Knowledge of client workflows in non-financial corporates, financial institutions, or professional services is preferred.
- Fluency in English is required. Other European languages are preferred.
