About the Role
Fair-Rite Products Corp. is seeking an Industrial Engineering Technician to support manufacturing operations through process improvement, production analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role involves optimizing work-flows, improving efficiency, reducing costs, and implementing new manufacturing solutions.
Responsibilities
- Analyze production data and manufacturing processes to identify improvement opportunities.
- Conduct time studies, workflow analysis, and line-balancing projects.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing data, routings, labor standards, and process documentation.
- Prepare cost estimate worksheets and support custom quotations.
- Process Engineering Change Notifications (ECNs) and related manufacturing documentation.
- Support manufacturing layouts, workstation design, and ergonomic improvements.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects that enhance productivity, quality, safety, and cost performance.
- Collaborate across departments to solve manufacturing challenges and implement effective solutions.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Industrial Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field.
- At least 2 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related engineering field with relevant manufacturing experience preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with manufacturing processes, time studies, and process improvement techniques.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP/MRP systems.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
