About the Role
As an expert in cloud technologies within the defense sector, you will be responsible for developing and implementing (sovereign) cloud solutions with a focus on security and strategic cloud architectures. You will advise our clients, particularly in the areas of the German Armed Forces, authorities, and defense industry, on cloud strategies, security, and compliance, and will be instrumental in defining and implementing cloud use cases. As the central point of contact, you will act as the link between internal teams, clients, and external partners.
Responsibilities
- Evaluation of current cloud technologies, especially sovereign and hybrid solutions, including technology scouting
- Definition and further development of a cloud strategy for the defense sector, exchange with international experts, participation in conferences
- Identification and conception of cloud use cases
- Consulting on security, compliance, and regulatory requirements in the defense environment
- Conducting pre-sales activities and supporting offer preparation
- Continuous professional development, e.g., through certifications for Microsoft Azure, AWS (ESC), Google Cloud Platform, NAF, TOGAF
Requirements
- Ideally, a completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, another STEM field, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in cloud architectures, multi-/hybrid-cloud, and sovereign cloud solutions in the context of Software Defined Defense (SDD)
- In-depth knowledge of cloud security, DevSecOps, and regulatory requirements
- Experience in pre-sales, project management, and communication and stakeholder management
- Strategic and regulatory understanding of the defense sector
- Very good German and English language skills
- Willingness to undergo security vetting according to SÜG; willingness to travel - primarily within the DACH region.
