About the Role
This position is responsible for leading and coordinating Digital Engineering (DE) Management activities within nominated project/s, providing specialist DE solutions, and developing technical capabilities of project staff.
Responsibilities
- Establish, implement, and continuously improve Digital Engineering workflows and processes.
- Act as an authority for tender and project related Digital Engineering matters.
- Maintain and update the Digital Engineering Management Plan (DEMP).
- Assist with the development of Digital Engineering strategy, including new technologies and protocols.
- Oversee the development and integration of models from various disciplines.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure the accuracy and integrity of models.
- Provide guidance and develop training programs for project team members on Digital Engineering tools and processes.
- Facilitate effective communication among project stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of the latest BIM tool/system technologies and methodologies.
- Ensure proper information management and storage of model data.
- Track and evaluate the performance of Digital Engineering processes and tools.
- Ensure all Digital Engineering activities comply with relevant industry regulations and standards.
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and develop Digital Engineering deliverables.
- Manage resources effectively, including software, hardware, and personnel.
- Maintain an active and visible industry presence in Digital Engineering.
- Champion and promote JHG’s Digital Engineering capability through strategic industry engagement.
Requirements
- Hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Built Environment or Architecture.
- Substantial experience in the Engineering Consulting or Construction industry.
- Experience in Digital Engineering Management roles on large multi-discipline projects.
- Experience managing and implementing Digital Engineering processes.
- Working knowledge of ISO19650, Uniclass, OpenBIM and other relevant Digital Engineering standards.
- Experience using industry design, coordination and Digital Engineering tools such as Revit, Civil3D, Navisworks and ProjectWise or similar.
- Sound understanding of design and construction management practices, processes and procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to analyse data and provide recommendations to senior stakeholders.
