About the Role
Fifth Third Bank is seeking a professional to develop and maintain relationships with a diversified set of investors, focusing on the execution and advancement of the Loan Capital Markets platform. This role involves selling new issues, supporting loan trading, and making sound underwriting decisions to drive outstanding results across the Syndicated Leveraged Finance platform. The position also requires providing leadership in the evaluation and execution of complex capital markets transactions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with a diversified set of investors including institutional TLB asset managers, commercial banks, and private credit accounts, focused on the execution and advancement of the Loan Capital Markets platform.
- Sell new issue and support loan trading in both the institutional and pro rata markets, and make sound underwriting decisions to drive outstanding results across the Syndicated Leveraged Finance platform.
- Provide leadership in the evaluation and execution of complex capital markets transactions crossing multiple industry verticals and product lines.
- Work with Relationship Managers, Investment Bankers, the Commercial Leadership team, and other members of the Syndicated Leveraged Finance business to identify capital markets opportunities across industry verticals and geographies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Graduate degree preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in Banking, Investment Banking, or Capital Markets.
- Proven track record of success in originating, structuring, and closing complex financial transactions.
- Leadership experience and history of involvement in key decisions around a growing financial services business.
- Expertise in one or more industries.
- Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 79, and Series 63 licenses required.
- Series 24 (Supervisor) license preferred.
- Ability to travel as required.

- Professional proficiency, generally acquired through 15 years of relevant work or internship experience in finance, accounting, or a related field.

Salary/Compensations
- Compensation for this position is largely incentive-based. Incentive compensation is combined with either a base salary or a draw to determine total cash compensation, and incentive compensation is based upon company, line of business and/or individual performance.
