About the Role

Buffalo Biodiesel Inc. is seeking an experienced and highly organized Assistant Plant Manager to oversee daily operations at our plant in the Town of Tonawanda. This role supports the Plant Manager and provides management coverage for 45 employees across 3 shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the plant and mechanical shops.
  • Provide leadership and direction to approximately 45 employees supporting the Plant Manager.
  • Ensure consistent policy enforcement and adherence to company standards.
  • Maintain a professional, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Support with operational oversight and special projects.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and team performance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associates degree required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a foreman or management position in an industrial or farm environment.
  • Proven experience overseeing large teams (20+ employees preferred).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple departments and competing priorities.
  • Experience developing and enforcing office policies and procedures.
  • Highly organized, reliable, and able to work independently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions confidently.
