About the Role
The Global Services team at National Instruments (an Emerson company) is seeking an Implementation Engineering Project Manager to manage the definition, development, and delivery of custom integrated test systems for major customers. This role involves contributing to team growth by refining tools and processes and influencing specialization areas within a fast-paced business unit.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for successful delivery of systems integration projects
- Act as primary contact for the customer throughout the project; negotiate scope/schedule changes
- Identify and document customer requirements as needed; work with project team to identify solution and estimate solution cost and timeline
- Collaborate with resource manager to ensure appropriate staffing on projects
- Influence and make decisions about scope, schedule, and resources for project
- Monitor and report out to stakeholders on project costs, status, quality; escalate issues when necessary
- Drive process and tool improvement efforts; help define and structure specialization areas for the team
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math)
- 5 years experience working on systems integration projects for test, measurement, or automation
- Experience as project manager of large enterprise engineering projects
- Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally up to ~25%
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future

- Strong technical and executive communication skills
- Strong understanding of business concepts such as pricing, margins, terms and conditions
