About the Role
At One River School, we believe digital art is a powerful creative language. We seek innovative, tech-savvy artists and educators to guide students (grades 3–12) through digital creation, from foundational skills to portfolio-level work. Responsibilities
- Teach engaging weekly digital art classes for students in grades 3–12.
- Guide students in tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Procreate), Moho, digital drawing tablets, graphic design, digital illustration, animation, or related platforms.
- Support middle and high school students in developing portfolio-quality work.
- Introduce creative problem-solving, visual storytelling, and design thinking.
- Foster a studio culture that encourages experimentation, critique, and growth.
- Communicate thoughtfully with families about student progress and creative development.
Requirements
- A practicing digital artist, designer, illustrator, animator, or creative technologist.
- Experienced teaching students in a digital lab setting (1+ year preferred).
- Proficient in Adobe Suite and Moho software.
- Available Tuesdays and Fridays.
- Comfortable working with a range of ages from upper elementary through high school.
- Skilled in digital platforms and current industry tools.
- Passionate about helping students build both technical skill and creative confidence.
- Engaging, organized, and student-centered.
