About the Role

This position is responsible for seating guests in a friendly and professional manner and providing food and beverage service while maintaining and recording daily sales on the P.O.S system. This role may be performed in various settings including restaurants, casino floors, bars, or special events. The position ensures adherence to company policies, motivates team members, and supports a safe and welcoming work environment.

Responsibilities

Provides exceptional customer service in an upbeat, positive, and professional manner.
Demonstrates thorough knowledge of all food and beverage items.
Informs guests of specials and menu changes.
Takes food and beverage orders and enters them into the point-of-sale system.
Delivers food and beverages to guests in a timely manner.
Makes genuine recommendations to guests.
Helps maintain clean service areas.
Stays knowledgeable about current food and beverage programs, incentives, and customer concerns.
Answers general questions about food, beverages, and restaurant functions.
Fills in as needed to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant.
Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments.
Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with guests, ownership, and employees.
Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations.
Performs other duties as assigned or directed.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent working experience.
Previous customer service experience required.
Server or Beverage Host experience required.
Previous cash handling and P.O.S system experience is an asset.
Excellent customer service skills.
Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, customer service, and communication skills.
Ability to professionally handle situations with intoxicated guests.
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment.
Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Must be 19 years of age or older.
