About the Role

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced SharePoint Administrator & Consultant to support, administer, and optimize enterprise SharePoint and Microsoft 365 environments. This role requires expertise across both SharePoint Online and SharePoint Server, including farm administration, governance, security, automation, migration, and hybrid environments. The successful candidate will work closely with technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and well-governed collaboration solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, configure, maintain, and support SharePoint Server 2016, 2019 and Subscription Edition farms
  • Manage farm topology, service applications, Central Administration, and farm-level services
  • Perform SharePoint patching, upgrades, maintenance, and health checks
  • Monitor platform availability, performance, and capacity
  • Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities
  • Troubleshoot complex SharePoint farm and infrastructure issues
  • Administer SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 tenant services
  • Manage sites, hub sites, permissions, metadata, and information architecture
  • Support migration and modernisation initiatives
  • Integrate SharePoint with Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and other Microsoft 365 services
  • Implement governance, lifecycle, compliance, and security controls
  • Configure and troubleshoot IIS and SharePoint web applications
  • Support SharePoint-related SQL Server environments and basic performance analysis
  • Develop administrative automation using PowerShell, PnP PowerShell, and Microsoft Graph
  • Support hybrid SharePoint environments spanning on-premises and Microsoft 365
  • Produce technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge transfer materials
  • Participate in incident management, problem resolution, and continuous improvement activities

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years (Senior) or 10 years (Expert) SharePoint administration experience
  • Strong experience with SharePoint Server 2016, 2019, and Subscription Edition
  • Strong experience with SharePoint Online
  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365 administration
  • Strong experience with SharePoint farm administration and configuration
  • Strong experience with SharePoint Central Administration
  • Strong experience with SharePoint security, permissions, and governance
  • Strong experience with PowerShell and PnP PowerShell scripting
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Graph and SharePoint REST APIs
  • Strong experience with SharePoint migration planning and delivery
  • Strong experience with Information architecture and metadata management
  • Strong experience with Windows Server administration
  • Strong experience with IIS configuration and troubleshooting
  • Strong experience with SQL Server integration and basic performance analysis
  • Strong experience with Hybrid SharePoint environments
  • SharePoint Framework (SPFx)
  • Microsoft Entra ID administration
  • Microsoft Purview
  • ShareGate and SharePoint Migration Tool (SPMT)
  • Azure DevOps and GitHub
  • Power Platform integration
  • Experience within large enterprise environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
